The ENERWA web services offer you a possibility to get to know project results of the ENERWA research project and to discover energetic potentials in water supply systems interactively.

In ENERWA, energy potentials in water supply systems were systematically investigated. One focus was on the dynamization of system operation in the context of fluctuating availability of renewable energy and changing energy prices. With more dynamic water drawing, drinking water reservoirs, for example, can be used to a limited extent as energy storage facilities. However, water treatment plants and distribution networks also hold flexibility options. With the developed web services, the ENERWA research results can be experienced interactively and the user is offered solution approaches for the energetic optimization of its system. A set of four web services has been developed:

- Energetic optimization of reservoir operation

- Guidebook for energy-efficient water treatment

- Dynamized operation of the waterworks

- Energetic optimization of water distribution

See: https://tools.enerwa.org

The user can either actively simulate different dynamization scenarios based on real data or receive concrete optimization advice. The required basic knowledge is presented and explained in short text blocks in a comprehensible way.
