Cadenza GIS 2go is a mobile geoinformation system for use in recording or supplementing data in the field. The system has been further developed with regard to the recording of special water management infrastructures in mining areas.

For improved water management in mining areas, the task is to record the water management infrastructure and its changes. The GIS tool for mobile recording of water management infrastructure in mining areas based on Mobile Cadenza and GIS 2go is suitable for this purpose. With this tool, data can be easily recorded in the field using a tablet PC and its integrated GPS function and transferred to a central GIS database. GIS layers previously created on a stationary PC are also available on the tablet PC, so that good orientation in the terrain is possible at any time, even without an active Internet connection. The tools already available for Mobile Cadenza and GIS 2go have been specially adapted for recording mining-related water management infrastructure: Wastewater treatment plants, visible pipelines, discharge points, reservoirs, pumps, etc.

For the output of the data, an output tool was developed, which can be used to generate automated evaluations in report form from a project database. The output tool is based on Cadenza GIS. The generated reports are in PDF format. Their content can be customized by prior queries, e.g. on the catchment area.
