Do you work in trace element analysis and know the terms target, suspects and non-target screening?
Then read on and try the following open-access tools
You are looking for a substance database with anthropogenic substances potentially to be found in (surface) water?
Then visit the free of charge usable STOFF-IDENT (at water.for-ident.org ).
You want to search this and other databases with your (LC-MS/MS generated) 'non-target screening' data, e.g. for pesticides (like Fipronil) or biocides (like Methylisothiazolinone) or for biogenic substances?
Then why not use the FOR-IDENT platform, which can be used free of charge (at water.for-ident.org ).
You want to search a substance database with your 'non-target screening' data (generated by GC-MS/MS), e.g. for fragrances or other volatile components?
Then why not use the free-to-use FOR-IDENT platform (at gc.for-ident.org ).
And if the tools were helpful or you need further help, please let us know at T.Letzel@afin-ts.de (AFIN-TS GmbH and later FOR-IDENT Club).
